Hi, I’m Andy
Hi, I’m Andy. I’ve been running my own businesses for over 12 years now.
I started NOPAS here in Poole as a Locksmith business helping with lockouts, lock changes, uPVC and burglary repairs and smart locks, for homes and landlords.
I’m a qualified locksmith, I hold the NCFE Advanced Certificate in Locksmithing (Level 4). When you call, you get me or one of my own engineers, never an agency stranger turning up unsure of the price. Between my team we’ve four decades in the trade, every one of us is DBS checked, and I’m rated 9.96/10 on Checkatrade. Go and read the reviews before you ring me.
No call-out fee and I will I tell you the price before I start.
Wareham questions I get asked
My period door in the old town is sticking and hard to lock, can you sort it?+
Yes. Older timber doors move with the damp and the locks wear, so it's often an ease and adjust, a strike-plate realign or a sympathetic lock change rather than anything drastic. I take care not to spoil the door.
My uPVC door near the river has seized up, is it the lock?+
Usually it's the multipoint mechanism, and the damp and salt air round Wareham bring it on faster. Often it's a service, an adjustment or a gearbox rather than a new door, and I carry the common parts.
I've got a holiday home towards Purbeck, can you keep it secure between visits?+
Yes, that's a regular one here. I'll check the locks over, upgrade anything weak to British Standard, and change or rekey if you're worried who's held a key.
How fast can you get to Wareham?+
Usually 35 to 45 minutes from Poole, allowing for the level crossing and summer Purbeck traffic. I'll give you an honest time when you call.
Need me in Wareham now?
Give me a ring. It’s the quickest way to get to you, usually 15 to 30 minutes, any time of day. Can’t talk? Leave your number and I’ll call you straight back. No call-out fee either way.

Ask Andy to call you back
I'm Andy, and I cover Wareham and the BH20 postcode from my Poole base, the historic walled town on the River Frome, out through Sandford, Stoborough and Northport, and on towards the Isle of Purbeck. You get me or one of my own engineers, never an agency stranger.
Wareham is one of the oldest towns in Dorset, a Saxon walled town, and the conservation centre is full of period and character properties on timber doors with older locks that want doing properly. Down by the quay and the river there's coastal and character housing, and the damp and the salt air nearby can make locks and mechanisms stiffen and seize. Out at Sandford, Stoborough and the newer housing it's the usual uPVC and composite doors on multipoint locks. I carry parts and locks for all of it.
What I get called out for in Wareham
The common ones here are:
- Lockouts in the town and around the quay
- Period and conservation-area lock changes done sympathetically
- uPVC and composite faults, seizing worse near the river and the coast
- Locking up and checking holiday and second homes towards Purbeck
- Burglary repairs and making a property safe after a break-in
How I cover Wareham
From Poole I'm usually with people in Wareham inside 35 to 45 minutes. The level crossing in the town and the summer Purbeck traffic are the two things that can add a few minutes, and I'll factor them into an honest time.
I cover Wareham town, the quay, Sandford, Stoborough, Wareham St Martin, Northport and Westport. If you're in BH20, you're on my patch.
A recent Wareham call-out
A customer in Wareham called because their uPVC door had seized up and wouldn't lock, which is something I see a lot near the river where the damp gets into the mechanisms. They were worried they'd need a whole new door.
When I got there I found the multipoint mechanism had stiffened and the gearbox was on its way out. I carry the common parts, so I replaced the gearbox, serviced and adjusted the mechanism, and had the door locking smoothly again the same visit, no new door needed. The customer was relieved and back to normal within half an hour. Another happy customer, and on to the next one.
