Do you cover Ringwood even though it's over the Hampshire border?+
I do. Ringwood and the BH24 postcode are well within my patch, usually 30 to 40 minutes from Poole. The border doesn't change anything.
My uPVC door won't lock, is it a whole new door?+
Almost never. It's usually the gearbox or the cylinder, both of which I carry and change the same visit. A new door is the last thing you need.
Can you change a lock on a period property in the old town?+
Yes, sympathetically. I keep the original ironmongery where I can and fit British Standard locks that suit the door and the conservation setting.
How fast can you reach Ashley Heath or Poulner?+
Usually around 30 to 40 minutes from Poole. I'll give you a real time when you call, allowing for the A31 and any flooding around the Avon.

I'm Andy, and I cover Ringwood and the BH24 postcode from my Poole base, the market town on the River Avon right on the Dorset and Hampshire border, out through Poulner, Ashley Heath, Hightown and the surrounding villages. You get me or one of my own engineers, never an agency stranger.
Ringwood is an old market town and the centre has its share of period and character properties on timber doors and older locks, with a conservation area around the historic streets. Around Poulner and the newer estates it's the more usual uPVC and composite doors on multipoint locks, and out at Ashley Heath you're into larger, wooded detached homes where I fit more high-security cylinders and smart locks. One thing I always keep in mind here is the Avon, the water meadows around the town can flood, and I'll factor the roads into a time. I carry parts for all door types.

How I cover Ringwood

A recent Ringwood call-out
I got a call from a customer over in Poulner who was locked out, the door had pulled shut behind them with the keys inside. First thing, as always, I did a quick survey of the property to check for an open window or side gate that had been missed, because the least disruptive way back in is always the one I'll recommend.
There was no other way in this time, so I assessed the door and used my specialist tools to manipulate the lock and get them back inside, without any damage and without any parts needing replacing. They were back in within 30 minutes of my arrival. Another happy customer, and on to the next one.
