Common questions
I've just moved in, should I change the locks?+
I'd recommend it. You've no idea how many keys are out there or who's held them, so a fresh set of British Standard locks on day one is cheap peace of mind.
My insurer asked for anti-snap locks, what do I actually need?+
For most doors that's a TS007 three-star anti-snap euro cylinder, or a BS3621 mortice lock on a timber door. I'll check your door and fit exactly what your policy requires.
Can you do it the same day?+
Yes. I carry British Standard locks and cylinders in the van, so I can supply and fit the same visit in most cases.
Will I get new keys, and how many?+
Yes, a full set of new keys with the new lock, and I can cut extra keys there and then if you need more.
Need me now?
Give me a ring. It’s the quickest way to get to you, usually 15 to 30 minutes, any time of day. Can’t talk? Leave your number and I’ll call you straight back. No call-out fee either way.

When you should change the locks
The usual reasons people call me for a lock change are:
- Just moved into a new home and don't know who's got a key
- Ended a tenancy, a relationship or a house share
- Lost a key, or had one stolen
- Your insurer has asked for British Standard or anti-snap locks
- The lock is worn, sticking or has been tampered with
What I fit
I supply and fit British Standard, insurance-approved locks, BS3621 mortice locks and TS007 anti-snap euro cylinders, the standards your home insurance actually asks for. I'll tell you exactly what your door needs, fit it the same day, hand you a full set of new keys, and back the parts for 12 months.
