That's the classic sign of a failed gearbox, the centre case the handle drives. I change it without touching the rest of the door, usually the same visit, and it's a fraction of the cost of a new door.
I've got an older bungalow, can you make the doors more secure?+

I'm Andy, a local locksmith covering Ferndown and the BH22 postcode, the town itself, West Parley, West Moors, Longham and Tricketts Cross, from my base in Poole. You get me or one of my own engineers on the job, not an agency middleman.
Ferndown is a newer, more modern town than most of its neighbours, mostly residential, with a lot of housing put up from the 60s onwards and plenty of bungalows.
